Experimentation – setting-up of a “Lab31 network”: play and cultural activities based on art. 31 in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, aimed at young foreign minors, especially Ums and young natives from pilot cities.

Lab31 Workshop aimed at integrating young foreign migrants, especially Ums and youngsters in the neighbourhood in 8 pilot cities: Crotone, Lorca-Murcia, Nicosia, Liverpool, Prague, Bucharest et Galati, Forest.

Expect results

Set-up a network of LAB31 workshops in the various countries and provide a model, an example of good practice in the integration and active participation by foreign minors in the host neighbourhood, to be successfully reproduced in other countries.

Help minors, unaccompanied minors more particularly, to communicate with the local community, reduce isolation and remove barriers through their favourite sport, music and play activities thanks to a language support and provide a specific assistance to minors (unaccompanied minors who have just arrived in a new country) to better adapt themselves to their new environment…

Worshops target: Foreign minors originating from Third Countries, including UMs and young natives from host communities, aging 6 to 18.

The project aims at making it possible for young foreign minors to take an active part in the local community life, to be recognized as individuals and to be respected. Be a leading player in their life at a local level.
